Designing alternative risk funding mechanisms to supplement or replace existing commercially available programs;
Overseeing the formation and on-going management of captive insurance companies including but not limited to actuarial and financial analysis, regulatory filings, and TPA selection and performance.
• Third Party Claims Administration:
Providing proactive and responsive claims management based upon a client-specific performance document developed in cooperation with the client’s risk-management director;
Selecting, monitoring and interacting with panel counsel consistent with the guidelines established by the client;
Conducting case review meetings with clients, including auditing files/legal bills;
Compiling and reporting losses in formats and frequencies developed with the client;
Attending settlement negotiations, mediation, and trials;
Managing regulatory reporting.
Partnering with clients and insurers to enhance communications and expectation resulting in more efficient and satisfactory claims handling;
Facilitating periodic reviews of loss information in-house as well as conducting claim file review with adjustors to drive a claim closure strategy;
Engaging with company-based and independent adjustors to mitigate costs on large losses.
