Regional hospital zone survey. There are no significant updates so far this weekend, aside from the Cleveland Plain Dealer editorializing that testing in SNFs should be prioritized, so we ask OHCA SNF members to complete a very short (1-2 minute) Survey Monkey on regional hospital zones.
The zones are the linchpin to the state's plan to assist congregate care settings with COVID-19. The zone concept has not been rolled out fully, although State Medicaid Director Maureen Corcoran discussed it at some length during one of Governor Mike DeWine's press conferences this past week.
The survey will give us a snapshot of how the plan has touched SNFs to date. We encourage all SNF members to complete it by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19.
We are targeting only SNFs for today's survey because SNFs are the first wave of the state's plan. Assisted living and possibly senior housing may be addressed subsequently; ICFs/IID and waiver homes are covered by parallel planning by the Department of Developmental Disabilities. At this time, it does not appear that the state will include home care providers in the plan because it is designed for congregate settings.
Thank you for your help!
