Telemedicine: Key Strategys to Confronting Challenges of PAMA (Protecting Access to Medicare Act)

PAMA’s implementation in October, 2018 will impact skilled nursing facilities fiscally and administratively. Yet many lack full understanding of PAMA or how to implement changes. Relying on our expertise in PAMA and drawing from data on how similar pay-for-performance elements under the Affordable Care Act impacted hospitals, we will introduce main elements of PAMA which will require organizations to demonstrate and report on the quality of care provided, which will impact reimbursements, penalties and incentives.
