OHCA 2020 Cancelled due to COVID-19

In light of the most recent COVID-19-related events and the guidance we have received, after much thought, discussion, and consultation with the OHCA Board of Directors, the decision has been made to cancel this year’s Convention.

We believe that this decision is not only legally required in order for us to comply with the Ohio Department of Health’s prohibition against mass gatherings, but also morally dictated at a critical time when health care workers are needed to provide care on the frontlines of this pandemic.  Our members are providers who serve the most vulnerable and at-risk citizens of Ohio, and this decision is necessary to protect them, their staff members, and their residents.

We put together a great conference that covered important topic areas with excellent presenters and an opportunity to earn CEs.  We are exploring options to provide the sessions virtually via on-demand webinars or at other events in the fall, along with the ability to earn CEs.  We will be in touch as plans progress.  We have also reached out to the Governor’s office to request a waiver of regulatory continuing education requirements for licensed health professionals in light of the ban on gatherings, and we will update you on any developments there.

In the meantime, we will be processing full refunds for any fees you have paid.  Please allow up to 30 days for all transactions to take place.  If you made an overnight room reservation using the OHCA passkey portal, OHCA will cancel your hotel reservation.  If you made your own accommodations, please remember to cancel them.

A 50% deposit is required when registering for a booth (if you choose to pay by check we must receive payment within 10 days)

•You will use the interactive floor plan to select your booth in real time. Please be aware of the companies around your booth selection and do not choose a booth next to/in close proximity to a booth with a similar type company

• Approximately 8 weeks prior to the Convention you will receive an Exhibitor Service Kit with complete instructions for ordering additional furniture, electrical service, internet, labor and freight handling
