Telemedicine - Are you ready?

Telemedicine is a rapidly growing trend in the post-acute, long term care market. Experienced panelists will discuss this paradyme shift, advantages to the facility's residents, their families, medical and nursing staffs. Avoiding and preventing unscheduled and unnecessary re-admissions to acute care settings have major implications to the bottom lines and the ROI of long term care facilities as well as to the referring hospitals. Legal liability issues involved with telemedicine will be discussed as well as implications for medical staff. Planning and training steps, critical to successful implementation, will be shared. In addition the session will feature actual telemedicine cases.
