Infection Prevention and Control and Why Antibiotic Stewardship is Important

Level: Intermediate

This session will provide a review of the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) as well as changes to F880. In addition, we will review the updated CDC isolation guidelines from 2017 and Appendix 1A. The session will also include information on how to set-up an effective program to track infections and mnitor resident outcomes. A review of Multi-Drug Resident Organisms (MDRO’s) and the “why” behind F881 Antibiotic Stewardship will conclude the program.
