Emergency Preparedness for ID/DD

Level: Intermediate

CMS published the final rule 'Emergency Preparedness Requirements for Medicare and Medicaid Participating Providers and Suppliers', which has been enforced by Life Safety Code surveyors in Ohio since November 2017. Seventeen provider and supplier types, including ICFs/IID, are affected. This session will provide an overview of the emergency preparedness rule as it specifically applies to ICF/IID providers, and address lessons learned from the first six months of ODH enforcement.
