Medicare Changes for the Administrator: How Quality, Value and a New Payment System Impacts Your Bottom Line

Data has become a powerful tool in healthcare today. Managers need to be aware of the changes affecting the expectations of care outcomes. This session will help guide attendees though new healthcare reform efforts and alternate payment methods as CMS moves away from a resource utilization reimbursement system. Specifically, SNF VBP and SNF QRP programs, and how these new programs will influence nursing documentation and Quality Reporting. Between Requirements of Participation and other recent regulatory changes, today’s SNF leader needs a ‘condensed and simplistic’ version of CMS’s Value-Based Purchasing program impacting hospital readmissions, and the Quality Reporting Program and how it is separate but similar to CASPER reports. In addition, learning how the new reimbursement system RCS-1 is anticipated to replace PPS 10/1/18.
