Description Responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls, as indicated. Administers medications. Administers treatments including, but not limited to, dressings, catheritization, suctioning, oxygen, etc. Assists in direct resident care, as necessary. Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and cares rendered. Keep physician and family aware of change in resident’s condition. Assists in admission and discharge procedures. Responds to resident emergency call system, as indicated. Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders. Administers I.V. therapy (RN’s only) and monitors I.V. lines (RN’s and LPN’s) Maintains self-respect, personal dignity and physical safety of each resident. Assures continuity of services and care. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Notifies designated Case Manager of significant changes in the resident’s condition. Orders medication and treatment supplies for residents admitted to the Health Center. Returns unused medication to pharmacy for credit when taken from Health Center. Orders replacements for starter doses. Receives report from previous shift and reports on each resident to on-coming nurse. Gives report to Nursing Assistants and verify that optimal care is being provided. Assists in admission and discharge procedures and assures continuity of services and care. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by Case Manager/Director of Nursing as census fluctuates. Qualifications and Skills Qualified candidates must have the passion and the ability to provide superior quality of care, with an emphasis on customer service in all that they do and also meeting the following criteria: Current nursing license with state of Ohio (RN or LPN) Clean background Must be honest, dependable and exhibit a warm, caring manner. Must be courteous, friendly and helpful and be able to thrive in a team environment.
