Description DIRECTOR OF NURSING – w/Sign-on Bonus! The Forum at Knightsbridge, a CCRC in Columbus, OH, has an immediate opening for a Director of Nursing in our Skilled & Rehab HealthCare Department. Successful candidate must possess a current CPR certification, have a current, unencumbered Ohio RN license from an accredited School of Nursing. A BSN Degree is preferred. DON should have a minimum of three years prior experience in Geriatric Nursing with a minimum of two years management experience. The DON must be knowledgeable of State and Federal regulations to be able to ensure compliance with all Facility and regulatory Agency standards, policies, facility safety and department procedures. This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care, including infection control policies and procedures as outlined in company program. The DON will plan, coordinate and manage the Nursing Department and oversee nurses, STNAs and nursing processes of the department. The DON must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with personnel, residents/families and professional entities and possess the ability to interpret a variety of written and oral instructions. Candidate must be able to function independently, have personal integrity and have the ability to work effectively with residents and .personnel while maintaining open, effective and ongoing communication. The DON will be responsible for new staff department training and ongoing staff education to ensure that nursing personnel can demonstrate the ability to function appropriately in their positions. The DON will coordinate work schedules and assist the Health Care Administrator with budgeting and all staff performance. This position is a full-time, salaried position. Candidate will have on-call responsibilities and be included in a rotating MOD schedule. Salary Range $80 to $87 per year
