Payments; JFS Delays FPF Payment Deadline
When providers
received a notice Wednesday afternoon that a processing error would delay their
payments for January services from February 11 to February 16 they were
concerned not only about cash flow to make payroll and fund ongoing operations,
but also the fact their second installment of the Franchise Permit Fee (FPF) was
due on February 14. OHCA contacted Julie Evers, Acting Chief, Bureau of Long
Term Care Facilities (BLTCF), and after discussion, she issued a notice that the
deadline for payment of the FPF was delayed one week until February 21. Ms.
Evers did state that providers not paying the FPF by February 21 would be
subject to enforcement actions, resulting in a vendor hold.
