The Ohio Department of Aging has issued a call for nominations for outstanding older individuals to be inducted into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. The hall honors Ohioans age 60 and older for their extraordinary achievements and contributions. Individuals and organizations interested in nominating a neighbor, colleague, family member or friend may do so online at Hall of Fame Nominations. The department will accept nominations through August 15, 2009. Nominees must be age 60 or older and be native-born Ohioans or a resident of the state for at least 10 years. Posthumous nominations will be accepted. Self-nominations are not accepted. Honorees will be inducted to the Hall of Fame in the spring of 2010.
