Scholarship Applications Available: Deadline February 27, 2009
The Educational Foundation of OHCA is pleased to once again kick off its annual scholarship program, which to date has helped over 500 OHCA/OCAL member professionals advance their long term care knowledge and skill through scholarships totally more than $755,000. This year we are excited to be issuing a new, easier- to-complete scholarship application which is due February 27, 2009. Applicants are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and issue EFOHCA their Student Aid Report (SAR) as part of the application process. The SAR is not due to EFOHCA until March 14, 2009. The FAFSA is the standard process by which college students apply for federal student aid and can be completed for the 2009-2010 school year beginning January 1, 2009. The FAFSA can also be completed online. Remember, the 2009 EFOHCA Scholarship program is for students who are planning to attend college during 2009-2010 school year which begins July 1, 2009. So get your employees tuned in to the scholarship opportunities that are available to them because your organization is a member of OHCA and OCAL. Click here to download the 2009 EFOHCA Scholarship Application. Questions regarding our new process can be directed to Diane Dietz ( ), 614/540-1334.
