Housing Locator Available to Discharge Planners, Renters, Landlords

Ohio’s Rental Housing Locator is a free, searchable directory of affordable, accessible rental housing throughout the state, and is a tool used by the state’s Home Choice program. The website is a joint venture funded by the Ohio Departments of Development, Aging and Job & Family Services; the Ohio Housing Finance Agency and the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council. The Locator provides transition coordinators and the people they serve with access to information on affordable rental housing, including specific accessibility features and vacancies.  Home seekers can search by city, county or zip code, as well as by cost and unit size.  Listings also offer information on amenities, supportive services and accessibility features.  The state is continuing to recruit property management companies and public housing authorities to register their rental housing on the Housing Locator.  For details or to register your rental unit, go to Ohio’s Rental Housing Locator; for additional information please contact Mike Compton ( ), 614/540-1326.
