Our Awards for Personal Excellence were created to recognize exceptional men and women who have demonstrated outstanding quality, commitment and leadership to the profession of long-term care. Our Adult and Teen Volunteer of the Year Award is bestowed on two special people who give of their time and talents to make life more fulfilling for our long-term care residents.

Personal Excellence Awards are given to long-term care employees who have demonstrated superiority in their daily performance. Eight total winners will be honored during our 2008 Convention, two from each of the following four categories:

• Licensed Patient Care Staff—Includes Nurses, Therapists, Social Workers, Dieticians.

• Non-licensed Patient Care Staff--Includes Nursing Assistants, Therapy Assistants, Activities.

• Non-licensed Support Staff—Includes Housekeeping, Dietary Aides, Maintenance, Laundry.

This year we are pleased to announce that McKesson, a leader in medical-surgical supply services and inventory management, has teamed up with OHCA to make the 2008 Personal Excellence Awards Program and Adult & Teen Volunteer of the Year Awards Program an even better, more prominent event.
