Nurse Aides Receive NAHCA Awards
The National
Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA) has announced that
two Ohio Caregivers were recently honored at the NAHCA 16th annual “Key
to Quality” Awards Banquet held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, June 3,
2010. Tiffany Karg of OHCA Member Fairhaven Retirement and Health Care
Community, Upper Sandusky, Ohio is the recipient of the “Team
Leadership Award.” Karg was recognized as an outstanding supporter of
the “Team Approach” providing quality resident care. Karg works well as a
team player, and stands out as a leader. A minimum of two years
experience is required. Perfect Attendance Award recipient Sandy Bash is
also from Fairhaven Retirement and Health Care Community. This award
is given to a CNA or direct caregiver who has completed a minimum of one
year of direct care service with perfect attendance. This caregiver
sets the standard for other professionals to follow. Since 2003, Bash
has not missed a day of work. In her 25 years with Fairhaven, Sandy has
consistently demonstrated loyalty, dependability and her positive
attitude. The winners were chosen for these award from more than 34,000
NAHCA members. Congratulations to Tiffany Karg, Sandy Bash and Fairhaven
Community!
