Smart Move! Safe Resident Transfers in Assisted Living (DVD)
Three different programs are in the same video or DVD: Program 1, for the safety committee and department heads: why safe transfers should be a top priority and what factors contribute most to an effective safe transfer program. Program 2 is for all workers: it covers the why, what, and how of safe resident transfers. Program 3 is for residents and their families: it discusses the resident’s role during transfer, as well as safety tips for the family.
The companion Presenter’s Guide includes background information, sample questions and follow-up points for group discussion, sample inservice presentation outline, and copy-ready audience participation handouts.
