Assessing Quality of Life in Alzheimer's Disease

Price: $50.95

This volume provides an overview of conceptual and practical issues in the measurement of quality of life (QoL) in persons with Alzheimer’s Disease. Both ethical and conceptual issues about what should be included in assessment are identified. Methodological issues, including use of self-report, proxy report, and direct observation; the establishment of reliability and validity of QoL measures; and the use of these measures with individuals who have differing degrees of cognitive impairment are discussed.
